On the Cotswold hills, on the river Windrush, lays the small medieval town of Burford. It is situated on the West side of the country of Oxfordshire. It is often referred to as the gate to the stunning Cotswolds.

The county of Oxfordshire borders six other counties: Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.

Burford’s High St has been kept away from too much modernisation to keep it’s Englishness intact. In Burford, there are plenty of galleries, sweet shops, tearooms and of course plenty of antique shops.

The limestone hills of the Cotswold are close by making for plenty of countryside walks amongst stunning scenery. The Cotswolds is well known for its views and its Limestone. The Cotswold wildlife park and gardens are just a couple of miles away from Burford. Here you can view many different species of animal which should occupy children and their families for hours.

Burford is a hive of local business activity with much to offer its residents in the way of professional services, places to eat and drink and plenty of activities to do.

Thank you for visiting.
